How a match goes

Join a team and .ready
Everyone joins one of the two teams and types .ready. With 10 players ready (5v5) the match starts.
Knife round
One round with knives only. The winners pick their side with .ct or .t (60 seconds).
24 rounds
Halftime after round 12. Friendly fire is on and teams stay locked to the end.
Overtime
At 12–12, 6-round overtimes with $10,000 until one team wins.
Result and rank
Everyone's stats, the match round by round and its demo (7 days) are saved here, and each player's skill rating (ELO) goes up or down.

Leaving a match

Leave mid-match and don't come back within 5 minutes (or 3 rounds) and it counts as a leave: the match is a loss for you with 15 extra ELO off, and each leave in 30 days goes one step further:

Leave 1 Warning
Leave 2 30 minutes
Leave 3 2 hours
Leave 4 24 hours
Leave 5 7 days

The ban is for mix servers only; public, AWP and fun stay open. If several players drop together (an internet outage) there is no penalty. 30 days without a leave and the record is clean. A spectator fills the empty spot with .sub . Appeals through Support.

Skill rating (ELO)

Everyone starts at 1,000 (Gold Nova I). Beating a stronger team gives more, losing to a weaker one costs more. Every 60 points is one rank, with the same 18 names as XP ranks. You join the list after 3 matches. The mix rating is separate from XP and is never for sale.
